As leaders we often find ourselves in a range of challenging and dynamic environments. Leaders have always been required to:

• Know or determine what to do;
• Support others in what they need to get done; and
• Help their teams or organisation to achieve results. 

Additionally, leaders need to create and communicate effectively a way forward, while taking into consideration shifting environments and the ever-increasing expectations of stakeholders.

Trends in contemporary leadership have seen ideas of influence, impact, innovation and capacity building become part of the leaders' lexicon; as well as an understanding that leadership is an active practive and not (just) a position. This session will support current and future sport leaders to explore their professional understanding and development intentions as contemporary leaders. We will do this through challenging personal leadership intentions and approaches; and encouraging you to explore your ways to innovate and influence within your suport.
