MOLLIE O’CALLAGHAN OAM WINS THE COURIER-MAIL CHANNEL SEVEN QUEENSLAND SPORT STAR AWARD FOR 2023

Mollie O’Callaghan OAM OLY has capped a stellar year on the world stage by claiming The Courier-Mail Channel Seven Queensland Sport Star of the Year Award for 2023.

Becoming just the fourth athlete in the event’s history to win The Courier-Mail Channel 7 Junior Sport Star award before going on to claim the senior Award, this accolade recognises a special year for the 19-year-old swimming star, who won six medals at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships including five gold medals and breaking multiple world records across the meet.

O’Callaghan beat a world-class field of contenders that included champions across Bowls, AFL, Diving, Cricket, Rugby League, Football, Swimming and Motocross.
