A schoolboy rugby league star, champion lifesaver and one of the country’s top ironmen, Robinson showed his wares on the world stage when he won Australia’s ever canoeing gold medal at the Barcelona Olympics. Fulfilling a dream harboured since watching the LA Games on television as a 12-year-old, Robinson led all the way in the 1000m single kayak before heading off three desperate challengers and winning by just 0.24 of a second.
In Kayaking Clint has achieved 3 Olympic Medals and a World Title while representing Australia at 5 Olympic Games, which are complemented by a staggering 32 Australian Championship Gold medals to date.
To earn his birth as Australia’s greatest ever Kayaking Champion as he is known today, Clint collected a Gold Medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, World Sprint Canoe Championship title in 1994, a Bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and a Silver medal in the 2004 Athen’s Olympic Games.
