Hall was a vital cog in the front row of Australia rugby league Tests sides. He played 22 Tests between 1948 and 1954 and was renowned for his toughness as well as his skill.
A two time Kangaroo tourist he was instrumental in the series wins against Great Britain in 1950 & 1954.
