Lynagh was one of Australia’s greatest rowers. Lynagh represented Australia at 8 World Championships and the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996. He won an incredible three world championships in a row in 1991, 92 and 93. His first came in the men’s lightweight quads, and then he moved to the lightweight doubles for the next two.
In 1993 Lynagh changed again to the lightweight four. His bid to pick up four consecutive world titles was just foiled and he had to settle for silver.
