Greg Browning was a dual Olympian for Australia in hockey, finishing fifth in 1972 and winning a silver medal in 1976 in Montreal, Canada. Browning was only 16 years old when first selected for Australia, becoming the youngest player ever chosen to the national team.
Browning has since enjoyed a successful coaching career in his home state. Eight of the players on Australia’s gold-medal winning team in 2004 were coached by Browning in Queensland.
