Arguably the fastest bowler world cricket has seen, he fired his lethal thunderbolts through 51 Tests from 1972-85 for 200 wickets at 28.0. He was clocked bowling in excess of 160km/hr, and his partnership with fellow tearaway Dennis Lillee was one of the game’s most feared. Originally from NSW, he made his name in Queensland and was one of the first Queensland coaches.
