Leigh was an AFL Hall of Fame Legend who coached the Brisbane Lions triple premiership success of 2001, 02, 03 which put the code on the map in Queensland. He was a triple premiership player at Hawthorn and a premiership coach at Hawthorn, and one of just two people to have tasted AFL premiership success with three clubs in a career which spanned 40 years.
He is an AFL Team of the Century member voted Player of the 20th Century in the Melbourne media, he was Queensland Coach of the Year in 1999, 2001 & 2002.
