A four-times Paralympic athlete in 1980,84,88,92 who won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal in wheelchair track, setting world records over 200m in Holland in 1980 and 400m in Stoke Mandeville, England, in ’84. Also competed over 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and the marathon in Barcelona in ’88. A pioneer for his sport who has coached since his retirement in 1992, he was Sporting Wheelie of the Year 1988.
