Reg Brandis was a world-class track & field official who was part of the officiating team as Usain Bolt smashed the 100m and 200m world records at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
A driving force in Queensland Athletics since 1983, he was first Queenslander and one of only four Australians to earn the highest accreditation with the IAAF. He was Queensland Sports Official of the Year in 2000 and 2008, Australian Sports Official of the Year 2001 and was a Life Governor of Athletics Australia.
Reg passed away in 2012.
