A three-time Australian Paralympic basketball representative in, Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004), Alison Mosely is one of the country’s all-time great disabled athletes. Renowned across the globe, she topped a wonderful international career when she won two Paralympic silver medals in 2000-04.
Was captain of the Queensland team in the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League 2003-06, consistently earning All-Star selection and ‘Top Points Scorer’ recognition, and was co-captain of the Australian team at the 2006 World Championships.
In retirement she has been an inspiration to disabled athletes, working in a development role with the Sporting Wheelies & Disabled Association and serving as a senior presenter with the Australian Sports Commission’s Sports CONNECT Program.
