Loretta is one of Australia’s leading female triathletes of the past decade. She won the World Championship in 1999, finished fifth in the inaugural Olympic triathlon in Sydney in 2000 and collected a silver medal in Athens in 2004 when she led the field into the home straight.
She also claimed five other top 10 world championship finishes from 1997-2004. She was 1999 Queensland Sports Star of the Year, and is a member of the Queensland and Australian Triathlon Hall of Fame.
