One of Australia’s all-time hockey greats, Pam Glossop was an international standout for more than a decade through the 1970’s and ‘80’s.
An ultra classy fullback, she capped her career when she represented Australia at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles after having originally been named vice-captain of the boycott team for the 1980 Moscow Games. She also represented Australia at the IFWHA World Cup-style event in 1975 and ’79, and later at the World Cup in 1981 and ’83.
A long-time Queensland representative, she captained her State from 1979-83 and from 1984-93 played a key role in the game’s national development program as coach of the AIS. Has subsequently held key Perth-based administrative roles in other sporting organisations.
