Panellist discussion - disability inclusion

This International Day of People with Disability Thursday, 3 December, the Queensland Academy of Sport are hosting a free public virtual event to discuss disability inclusion through the eyes of some of our best Paralympic athletes. 

Facilitated by Olympic Gold Medalist Mark Knowles, this live panel discussion will gain insight into the role that sport has played in our guest athletes lives; their personal experiences in inclusion and overcoming social barriers; and their ideas on contributing to more inclusive communities.

Panellists include:

  *   Curtis McGrath OAM, Australian Para canoeist, Paralympic Gold Medallist (Rio 2016 Paralympic Games) and Multiple Para canoe World Champion

  *   Katie Kelly OAM, Australian Para triathlete, Paralympic Gold Medallist (Rio 2016 Paralympic Games) and two-time World Champion

  *   Gerrard Gosens OAM, Australian Para triathlete & three-time Paralympian in Marathon and Distance events

  *   Carlee Beattie, Retired Australian Para-Long Jumper, Paralympic Silver and Bronze Medallist (2012 London and 2016 Rio Paralympic Games), IPC World Champion, Current World Record Holder
