Queensland Great Awards

Now in its 19th year, the Queensland Greats Awards recognises the efforts and achievements of remarkable individuals and institutions for their invaluable contribution to the history and development of our great state.

Nominations are open across three categories:

  • Individual
  • Institution
  • Posthumous

A total of 90 individuals, 14 instututions and four posthunous recipients have now been honoured as Queensland Greats. 

Past recipients include rugby league legend Wally Lewis AM, the Queensland State Emergency Service, equality activist Gail Ker OAM and humanitarian scientist Distinguished Professor James Dale AO FTSE.

Do you know a remarkable Queenslander or Queensland institution who can be recognised for their long-term dedication to Queensland? It could be a friend, family member, colleague or a local community organisation.

Nominates close 5:00pm, Friday 22 February 2019.
