Free Micro-Credential Training for Queensland Small and Family Businesses
Queensland small and family businesses can now register for a new suite of free micro-credential courses designed to build practical skills, capability and resilience.
Delivered in partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast, these short courses provide flexible learning opportunities to help business owners, managers and staff build valuable skills while balancing the demands of running a business.
Available Courses for the Tuesday
- Artificial Intelligence – Commences Tuesday 20 October at 9:00am (Six-week course).
- Community Resilience – Commences Tuesday 20 October at 2:00pm (Six-week course).
Participants may choose the course most relevant to their needs. Each course has been co-designed with industry to ensure the content is practical, contemporary and immediately applicable in the workplace.
Delivery Formats
- Face-to-face workshops beginning in Cairns from October.
- Online learning available statewide.
- Self-paced modules for flexible participation.
Additional regional workshops and new micro-credentials, including Cyber Security and Procurement, will be rolled out progressively throughout 2027.

- Queenslanders looking to build capability and develop new skills.

Registrations for the first round of micro-credential courses open on Tuesday 22 September 2026, with courses commencing in October 2026.
