New Social Media Series Launch: QSport Side Quest

QSport is launching a new social media series to inspire younger generations to discover, try and get involved in Queensland sport.

What happens when a QSport staff member steps out of the office and into the world of Queensland sport? They take on a QSport Side Quest!

This new, fast-paced social media series will see QSport staff visit member organisations to take on new challenges, explore different roles and discover the people and skills that make sport possible.

Designed to engage Gen Z and younger audiences, QSport Side Quest will use humour, personality and hands-on experiences to showcase the incredible diversity of sport across Queensland. From learning to skate in ice hockey or attempting a perfect bowling strike to stepping into the shoes of an umpire, technical official, CEO or volunteer, each episode will offer a fresh perspective on what it takes to be involved in sport.

Because getting involved in sport isn’t just about playing it! There are countless ways to be part of the action, whether on the field, behind the scenes or helping a sporting organisation run. The series aims to highlight these opportunities and show young people that there is a place for everyone in Queensland sport.

Each two-to-three-minute episode will feature a QSport staff member learning from an athlete, coach, CEO, volunteer, official or participant before putting their new skills to the test in a series of fun, hands-on challenges. Viewers will also discover how they can get involved, with information about local clubs, beginner sessions, volunteering opportunities and pathways into different roles.

The mission is simple: discover the sport, take on the challenge and show Queensland how to get involved.

Tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, the series will deliver short, entertaining content designed to cut through the noise, engage younger audiences and make sport more accessible.

More than just a challenge, QSport Side Quest aims to break down barriers, challenge perceptions and inspire the next generation to explore the many opportunities sport has to offer, regardless of their experience, interests or skill level.
