QSport Launches New Member HR Advisory Service to Support Member Sporting Organisations
QSport is pleased to announce the launch of a new HR Advisory Service for members, delivered by workplace relations specialists Streamline HR.
The service has been introduced in direct response to member feedback and recognises the increasing complexity of managing staff, volunteers and workplace obligations across the sport sector.
As sporting organisations navigate growing compliance requirements, employment legislation changes and increased governance expectations, many have identified the need for accessible, practical HR support. To address this need, QSport has invested in a shared service model, providing members with access to expert HR advice and guidance.
From August, members can access support on a range of people management and workplace matters by contacting HR@QSport.com.au.
A Streamline HR consultant will respond within one business day and provide practical advice to help organisations understand their obligations, options and next steps.
“This service has been created because members told us they need support managing increasingly complex HR and workplace matters,” said QSport CEO, Shantel Netzler.
“Whether it’s employing staff, managing volunteers, addressing workplace concerns or navigating compliance requirements, our goal is to provide members with access to trusted expertise that helps them make informed decisions and build strong workplaces.”
The service provides advice and guidance on matters including:
- Employee performance and conduct
- Workplace grievances, bullying and harassment concerns
- Employment legislation and National Employment Standards
- Award coverage and interpretation
- Leave entitlements and wage compliance
- Employment contracts and HR documentation guidance
- Recruitment and workforce planning
- Organisational structure and governance-related HR matters
The service is intended to provide advice, guidance and direction rather than hands-on case management or delivery of extensive HR projects. Where organisations require additional support beyond the scope of the service, Streamline HR can discuss those requirements separately.
As part of the initiative, QSport and Streamline HR will host a Sport Industry HR Roundtable on 22 September 2026, providing members with an opportunity to discuss emerging workplace challenges and learn from HR experts.
Members will receive a survey shortly and are encouraged to share their priority topics by 21 August 2026 to help shape the discussion and ensure the session addresses the challenges most relevant to the sector.
For support, members can contact HR@QSport.com.au
