Game On: Climate Action Grants Now open for Queensland Sporting Clubs

The Australian Government has opened applications for the Game On: Training for Climate Action program, offering grants between $25,000 and $150,000 to help community sporting clubs reduce energy costs and transition to cleaner, more efficient technology.

The first round will deliver $17.6 million in funding to up to 500 clubs.

Eligible Projects include:

  • Solar and battery systems.
  • Energy Audits.
  • Efficient lighting upgrades.
  • Heating and cooling improvements.
  • Infrastructure supporting community sport.

Key Dates:

  • Applications open: 1st of July, 2pm.
  • Webinar: 2nd of July (recording available). To register, email: GameOn@dcceew.gov.au 
  • Applications close: 29th of July. Applications may close earlier than this date if funding capacity has been exceeded.

Queensland clubs are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to reduce energy bills and invest in sustainable infrastructure.
