Building a More Inclusive Future for Queensland Sport

The Empower Legacy Project, supported by the Queensland Government, is helping shape a more inclusive future for Queensland sport ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. A key part oof this work is the Count Me In Survey, designed to better understand how people with a disability participate in sport and physical activity across the state.

The survey captures real experiences, what helps people get involved, what barriers exist, and what changes would make sport more accessible and welcoming.

Your experience will help:

• Identify barriers such as access, cost, transport, confidence or information
• Inform funding, policy and program design
• Strengthen inclusive sport pathways, from grassroots to elite sport
• Contribute to a lasting legacy for the 2032 Games and beyond.

People with a disability, families, carers and support workers are encouraged to share their experiences.

Closing Date: 4 December 2026.

Completion Time: 15 minutes.

Queensland sport organisations, clubs and associations are invited to help promote the Count Me In Survey through their networks. A digital toolkit is available with ready to use content for newsletters, social media and member communications.
