Lifesavers Encouraged to Explore Policing Careers Through New Partnership

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) and Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) have announced a new partnership encouraging volunteer surf lifesavers to consider careers in policing, while supporting police officers to give back through beach patrols.

With more than 13,000 sworn police officers and 35,000 volunteer surf life savers across the state, both organisations share a strong commitment to community safety. The partnership highlights the complimentary skills across both groups, including teamwork, leadership and emergency response, and promotes opportunities to serve Queenslanders both on the beat and between the red and yellow flags.
